Tristan had a good day today. His sister had to go to a dr appt (she is expecting in feb) so my sister in law came to sit with him. She always bring her toddler Jacob. Tristan growls at him. Its cute really. Tristan used to wrestle with them and now be growls at them. Kind of makes me think he wants to wrestle. I made one Tristans favorite things in the world peanut butter cookies. I puréed it with some milk and gave it to him as a snack after supper. Lets just say he loved it. He had his new morning sitter start. I think its going to work out great. Its kind of a duo but they have experience in long term care and restorative nursing. They did stretches this morning and I could feel a difference in Tristans tone. His left arm stretched almost completely straight! We have been working on this since April so this is big. I know everyone who has helped stretch him all these months are responsible for this achievement. The good thing about his morning sitters is we can focus on some hand coordination and maybe work on feeding ourselves. This is our goal to begin working on. Another huge achievement tonight was Tristan stretched his left hand out to his trapeze bar partially by himself. This is something we work on everyday and it is slowly coming back.
