Trooper were away in the 3 rd round of the open cup against Sutton town vets on 3g,troopers squad of Pj, Benny,millsy,Virgil,Trainor,baggy,Ryan,Scott Wilson,dougie,Matty Courtney,woodsy,wally,Luby,Hoss,Crawford,liam and panda started very organised and were proving hard to break down with Sutton having a lot of the ball in the early stages however after first ten trooper started to get s feel and looked dangerous themselves with both dougie and woodsy getting shots off, trooper took the lead from nice finish from dougie slotting past the on coming keeper 1 0,Sutton knew they were in a game now with trooper now with their tails up were now dictating the play but then 5 mins of bad luck with first Benny pulling up in his first start and doing so well had to go off( hope its not too bad pal), then Pj getting sent off for handling the ball outside the area ( due to the wind unlucky Pj) from the resulting free-kick Sutton equalised passed substitute keeper panda, trooper now needed to stay focused as the game had completely turned on its head and Sutton proved that by using the extra man to their advantage keepingvthe ball and using it well, trooper at times chasing shadows but still trying hard Sutton scored again from a near post effort 2 1, shortly after 3 1 and just on half time a good criss and header 4 1 ht,half time saw trooper change strategy and were to come out fighting and did just that and were now back in the game soon after half time trooper scored through baggy from the spot after wally was shoved at the far post( well looked like it;)4 2 trooper now had the belief back but mot for long as Sutton extended their lead 5 2, and that player sealed a second half hatrick to make the final score 7 2 yes 7 2, to be fair trooper kept trying and never gave with a good attitude and once down to 10 men struggled to keep the ball but all credit to Sutton who made good use of the extra man, m.o.m Matty Trainor
