True story, all in the fun day of your typical residential appraiser. Had a *very* difficult time setting up the appointment to appraise this home in Waukegan for the short sale. The owner did not want me to come, said hed call the police, blah, blah. Anyway, the agent tells me shes finally gotten the owner to agree to see me, today at 11:00. I arrive at the appointed time, but the guy blows a gasket, starts yelling at me in Spanglish, all I understood was vamanos and a few other nasty things. Turns out the listing agent just lied, and hoped Id smooth talk him when I got there. Which I did! This is why John calls me The Nutter Whisperer. When I got to the inside of this garage I saw the reason for his concern. (He wouldnt allow me to take a picture of the inside.) This amigo was running cock fights out of it. Must have been 25, 30, maybe more, birds in various cages. HUGE things, roosters I guess. Sensing his tension I asked him if he was planning on opening up a KFC. He just laughed and let me go about my business...
