True story told to my by co-worker on how he was let go from his last job. Called into Managers office. Someone from HR was there he never saw before. As you know there is a lot of restructuring going on right now. I wanted you to know that you are a valuable part of our restructuring and we want you to remain part of it. I see in your file you have been highly praised by your supervisor. We have very happy to have you..(a brief pause. I weird look comes over her face). Wait a moment. Are you Hector Ramirez? No. Im Liam He says in his thick Irish accent. Oh. Oh, I see. Ok. You are on the other list. Were sorry to inform you but as if this moment your employment has been terminated. He got up, walked out the door and kept on walking. What did you do after you left? I ask I drank a LOT of Jameson!!!
