Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Matthew 11:11 I woke up this morning with Carrie Underwoods newest song, Something In The Water playing in my mind. And I read about John the Baptist in my morning reading. Humble reminder, John wasnt a Baptist, he was a Jew, and Jesus said there was not one man greater than him born of flesh and blood. However, he added something, whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. That something in the water, the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, gives us that power in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God can do more for us in an instant than we can do in a lifetime. I dont know about you, but God saved a wretch like me, and now Im singing along to Amazing Grace with Carrie Underwood and countless other brothers and sisters :)
