Trust...the ability to place the existence or future of something important...even essential to us...into the hands of another. So...how ya doin with that? Trust is hard isnt it? I mean REALLY hard. Well hand over our kids, the use of something important to us, into the hands of another, but it either comes with a ton of instructions...or we have several strings still attached. We love us some cell phones dont we? And unfortunately this is also how we handle our relationship with God. Sure...we trust God...when it looks like things are going in the direction we want or hope they do. But when our life starts heading in a direction that doesnt match our own desires...then we yank that trust back. So...let me ask you; Hows it working for you to run your own life? Some of you either are fairly okay with your life or youve just accepted where this is where my life is going to be. Some of you, your lives are...well we just wont go there. This Sunday we begin a new series - #Focused. What it means to live a life with meaningful purpose and direction. And the VERY FIRST step of that journey is to answer the question; Do we believe God is trustworthy? And we know that its a life long journey. Very few of us have the ability to fully trust right off the bat. So...a conversation of what it looks like to begin to loosen that death grip on the control of our lives...and test God, (He said we could), so we can see if He genuinely is trustworthy.
