APS Retirees need your help Albuquerque Public Schools is trying to balance heir budget by refusing to continue paying a Life Insurance policy. when we were hired and when we retired 1,800 hundred of us (still left) were promised a 25,000 Life Insurance Policy, when we retired. These 1,800 are the oldest retirees which can little afford to pay life insurance premiums out of our modest retirements. Most of these retirees are support staff ( educational assistants, secretaries and custodians). Where is the compassion for loyal employees of 15 to25 years of their life. These are the seniors who vote for your bonds and volunteer in you schools, show us that you are behind us just like we have always been there for you.
