Ts Chanthoi Memorial Cash award presented onTCA closing day KT/CHANDEL, DEC 12: The annual closing day celebration of Theophany Christian Academy, Chakpikarong Bazar in Chandel district was held at the school premises today. School’s annual report, announcement of Ts Chanthoi Memorial Cash award, prize distribution and Annual promotion examination result by Principal of the school Sr Manshi Anal became the main highlight of the function attended by parents, invitees, teaching and non teaching staffs of the school, well widhers and executives of Anal Naga Baptist Association who is the owner of the project school. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the school Sr Manshi said Theophany Christian Academy having classes from Kg I upto Class VII has 221 students registered during the current academic session. Announcing the result, the principal informed that out of the total 221 who appeared promotion exam 2014, 76 students passed in the distinction, 39 in first division, 21 and 1 students passed in second and third division respectively while 84 students failed in the exam. Regarding the Ts Chanthoi Memorial Cash award constituted a year ago by the relatives of late Ts Chanthoi for the best boy and girl of the school in recognition of excellent overall performances , Ps Mothahring, a class V students and Miss Dy Rithahring was announced and awarded. The Principal in his speech also announced the names of 9 best students who won the free admission incentives for 2015 session. Executive secretary of Anal Naga Baptist Association Rev Kl Tangthu preached the gospel. Singspiration by TCA choir and special Nos presented by the hostelers enthralled the gathering with their songs of melody. ANBA Education Secretary Kl Sunny while speaking on the occasion encouraged the students informed of the decision Board decision to upgrade the school to class VIII during the academic session 2015 and making the meetei mayek and language subject compulsory. Sunny also went on to thank the parents for extending support to the school and urged cooperation for making the school a better place of learning for the students in this particular region.
