Tuesday, January 27, 2014 IF YOU GO UP, START WITH WHAT YOU HAVE Gen 1:1-31; Exo 4:1-4; Acts 3:3-8 It is very important for anyone who will walk with God to know that Gods work must be done Gods way at Gods time with Gods resources and with Gods power to provoke Gods result. For every assignment that God will ever give to man, He has provided a corresponding consignment for the assignment. God will never make a demand on you for which He has not made a supply for. For every divine mandate, there is a divine mantle. More often than not, Gods resources are released to us not in ways we expect them to be. It seems to me that most times these resources are released to us in their raw form. When God was about to create heaven and earth, to man it would seem like a task that cannot be accomplished but God uses supernatural resources to produces natural results. He used the words of His mouth to provoke works of power and great mysteries on the earth. Resources with God are not farfetched it is just for us to see with the eye of faith and run with what He has released. Likewise, when He created man and after blessing him, He showed man the resources at his disposal for the furtherance of the dominion mandate (Gen 1:29-30). Every time God calls a man, He shows him the wealth at his disposal for the fulfillment of the task. The challenge is that most of us expect more from God or expect that the resources should appear in other better forms but God gives the best resources for His works because God is expecting the best result from us. When Jesus was leaving His disciples, He gave them nothing more than the assurance of His presence. To some, it may seem so silly but the disciples turned apostles understood the significance of his presence of Christ with them and they maximized same everywhere they go. At the beautiful gate, Peter said what I have, I give and the miracle happened. You cannot give what you dont have and you cannot release what you have not received. While expecting greater things that God has promised for the actualization of the vision he has shown you, make do with what He has given you. He wont give you assignment greater than the consignment He has given to you. Making good use of what you have is an act of gratitude and faith. God honors those who appreciate little gifts and releases more to them. Likewise, God is pleased with men of faith (Heb 11:6). God was able to release great grace and great power to the apostles in acts 4 because they have used the little resources they had in Acts 3. Your Acts 4 will soon come but make good use of the resources you now have in your Acts 3 so that God will honor your voice when you get to Acts 4. Prayers: Father, help me to identify and appreciate all the resources you have released and given to me for the success of my upward journey in life and grant me the wisdom to maximize them. Amen!!!
