Tuesday, June 24, 2014 Creation for Love Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This verse is the most astounding, yet also the most controversial verse in the entire bible. For a Christians this verse reveals the power and glory in Gods hands, and is not debatable. For a skeptic this verse holds no value and they waste many years of their life looking for the evidence of creation, instead of having that childlike faith. Evolutionist have spent years trying to prove that it took billions of years for the earth to evolve. Gods Word, which is all scripture given by the inspiration of God,2 Timothy 3:16, states that it took only 6 literal full 24 hour days to create the entire vast universe we live in today Genesis 1:1-31. God is love and His reason for creation was to share His beauty of creation with man that He deeply loves. Our Creator did not just snap His fingers and man came into existence as did everything else. No God literally got down on His knees and formed man out of the dust from the ground with His bare hands. I can just imagine how God, like us building a sand castle, took His time, sculpting, patting and smoothing out His greatest creation of all. Then when He had finished His pride and joy, God leaned down and with the very breath from His lungs, He breath life into mans mouth, Genesis 2:7. I can visualize, that as man open his eyes for the first time, he was face to face with his Creator that just breath life into him. Because God loved us so much, He wanted us to be surrounded by beauty. God created a beautiful garden, Genesis 2:15, for Adam and his bride Eve, who He also formed and placed the rib of Adam into, Genesis 1:27, 2:21-23. God created the earth full of trees, grass, flowers and plants of all kinds that man may enjoy the sights of its beauty, Genesis 1:11-12, 2:29. Adam was given the authority to name each fish, fowl and beast that was created by God, he was also enjoy their beauty and presence,Genesis 1:20-25, 28-30 2:19-20. Each day I encourage you to step outside, take a walk, sit on your porch or even go for a bike ride and just soak in the beauty of Gods creation around you. If you get to go on vacation, take time to embrace wherever you are whether in the mountains of Colorado, on the beach of Jamaica, in the middle of the tall Redwoods in California or even the swaps of Louisiana. Step outside on a clear open night, look up at the millions of bright stars and be amazed by the beauty of them that God knows each by their name. God made this entire vast universe for each one of us to enjoy His beauty of creation. Take time today to glorify God and praise Him for all He has created to show His love toward us. Remember the beauty that surrounds us here on earth holds no comparison to the beauty in heaven! Most gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for the beauty that surrounds me on earth. Though evil is among us and sin has brought death to all earth, Your beauty of creation reminds us of Your love for mankind. As I take in each and every majestic landscape, animal and bright night sky, I stand amazed knowing that earths beauty can not compare to the beauty I will see in heaven. In Jesus Holy name I pray, Amen.
