Tuesday, September 30th Physical Science: Continued unit on Atoms today, took notes on Atom PowerPoint, compared atoms and elements, discussed the early history of the atom and Democritus, turned in Atom Vocabulary Word Search. Biology: Continued reading pg. 12-18 in text, reviewed terms: independent (manipulated) variable and dependent (responding) variable, introduced the terms qualitative and quantitative data, started talking about Joseph Priestley and his bell jar experiments, tested how long a candle stays lit in a sealed bell jar, continued to share animals posters and take notes on presentations. Advanced Biology: read more about fishes and their feeding patterns, talked about the fish parasite, the Lamprey, worked on fish word search and blue Fish Questions I, both due on Wednesday, turned fish anatomy art project and science magazine article assignment. Chemistry: tried turning a penny into gold with zinc sulfate, it didnt work... :( , will try with sodium hydroxide and Mossy Zinc tomorrow, continued taking notes on PowerPoint for new unit on Matter and Change, passed out 1st 10 chemical Compounds to memorize, will be tested over them on Friday, October 10th, science magazine article assignment - due Thursday the 2nd. youtu.be/xqNSQ3OQMGI
