Tuesday noon 1200 Update The latest storm track shows Typhoon 23W located approximately 179 NM southwest of Sasebo and will pass approximately 60 miles to the north west tonight. We will still see winds pick up early this afternoon with the strongest winds (>50 kts) early this evening. All hands are reminded to stay inside during periods of high winds. In case of emergency call 911 (or 0956-50-0911 from your cell phone) The base will remain closed (essential personnel only) today. **Main Gate will be closed, please utilize the back gate.*** On Wednesday, there will be a 2 hour delay to allow for a complete damage assessment.
