Tuesdays Top 5: Words we use most often in therapy 1. Accountability: Holding ones self accountable for ones actions is a huge part of making change. 2. Communication: Communicating thoughts/feelings/beliefs is essential. Helping individuals enhance their ability to communicate in a healthy way that is understandable to others is often a part of therapy. 3. Feelings: It sounds simple, but sometimes feelings are confusing and hard to identify. Once a feeling is identified, it becomes easier to begin processing it. 4: Processing: I like to describe processing as what happens when feelings and experiences are reviewed and your mind/heart try to make sense of those feelings. 5: Choice: Making positive and healthy choices can be difficult, especially in difficult situations. While we cant control the situations, we can control the choices we make and how we respond.
