Tuesdays Update: IVIG went smoothly today. IV went in on the 1st try and I slept for 4hrs out of the 5.5hr treatment! After that I went to treadmill room and did my 6 minute walk test that tests your body functioning and how well your lungs are working at filtering the CO2 out of your body while doing exercise. My SATs (oxygen percentage) never dropped below 93% which is good - anything below 90% becomes risky and my distance was 568m compared to the 630m I walked in June. However I hauled ass on that test today so Im proud of the results! The physio therapists said it was still a good distance and oxygen saturation but he decline just proves that my lungs are deteriorating as I say they are (being more short of breath and struggling with some activities). But this doesnt mean theyll want to list me ASAP as the results are still considered good. So we wait and test again soon - Ill let everyone know if we hear any other news from the Doctors. After that it was off to CF Clinic for another brief clinic. I got the forms for a new compressor as mine broke and fitted some masks to my face...the paediatric ones fit best so Im coming home with a fishy mask lol. They didnt have much to say other than to focus on gaining weight still. We went out to dinner at the Jason George with some friends and now its home to relax. Tomorrow is my bronch day so no eating after midnight tonight - I will not be a happy camper tomorrow!! Hoping to sleep until I have to head to the hospital at 12:00. Overall a decent day but I am tired! Keep breathing easy everyone!💜
