Tuesdays tip of the day! Who holds you accountable? Even the best of the best need accountability! Its amazing to have someone in your life that encourages you, lifts you up, tells you when your off track, laughs with you when your happy, cries with you when your sad, celebrates your successes, and most importantly always tells you like it is! Its called an accountability partner and you need one! So who should you pick to be that important person in your life? Well, in my personal experience they should have the following traits! 1) someone that pushes you 2) someone that is positive 3) someone that is like minded 4) someone who is always honest 5) someone you can trust 6) someone that will not bring you down 7) someone that inspires you 8) someone you can learn from 9) someone that will stretch you 10) someone that will help you grow Those are just a few of the important traits you will want to look for! In my personal opinion it should not be anyone that is in your downline or in your upline. I encourage my team members to find someone side line. The reason I believe it is important not to have an upline as an accountability partner is because I dont think it should be someone that makes financial gain off of you. I would hate for any advice they may give to be based off of what would benefit them promotion wise or financially. The reason I believe it should not be a down line is for your protection. Why because it is very important you do not complain or show frustrations to your downlines. A true accountability partner is someone that you should be able to share frustrations with or hard times you may be facing in your business. A true accountability partner is there to tell it like it is! A true accountability partner lifts you up when your need it and you for them as well! Now it may take you reaching out on your own to find this. You may want to ask your upline if he/she has someone in another leg that you would pair well with. It also may take time to find the right one. That person you just click with. I usually match my team members up every six months or so in case they are not happy with the one I matched them with prior. It may take you seeing someone side line that you admire and you think that you would mesh with for you to make that first step and reach out to them! Its so important to remember that you are the captain of your ship and to be successful it means not waiting around for someone to do it for you! I speak from experience when I say there is nothing better than an amazing equal to pair up with. I was fortunate enough to find my partner and side line sister Stacy Rittichier Stevens! When Im down she tells me to get out there again and when she is down I do the same. We set goals together and push each other and hold each other accountable! Is crazy how when you find that accountability partner soul mate how the good Lord always makes sure your never down at the same time! She tells me when Im acting crazy or making a mistake and I her! Stacy and I are honest with each other and we truly want the best for the other. Without her Im not sure if Id be where I am with the respect from others that I have (as she had stopped me from saying and doing some pretty crazy things. ..lol)!!! I wish for each of you to find the same thing that Stacy and I have when you find your accountability soul mate! So there you have it! Now start your search and dont give up until you find that soul mate. .. its well worth the effort and wait! Good luck and happy Tuesday! !!
