Tullamore Harriers was represented by 2 teams in round 1 of the National Track and Field championship, which was held in Sligo today. Despite miserable weather conditions, and relatively young teams,everyone put in superb efforts to earn valuable points.Having to double up on many events, added extra pressure and strain on the athletes but they all showed true team spirit nevertheless. The ladies team of; Emily Grennan, Ann-Marie Molloy, Cara Todd, Niamh OConnor, Nadine Donegan, Nita Ní Lochlainn, and Niamh Milner, finished in 5th place. The mens team of ; Paddy Heffernan, Conor Butler, Adrian Curley, Rory Martin, Sean Donegan, Jordan Hoang, Joey Dolan, Andrew Delaney, Matt Molloy and Tom Rafferty also finished in 5th place in their group. Round 2 is on June 22nd and we wish the squad continued success on the road to the final.
