Turkiler aspires to develop into social network like Facebook or Twitter ALMATY. Jan 30 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Turkiler, a social networking site for the Turkic peoples, announced launch of its BETA version. The network features cultural and educational resources about Turkic peoples and offers opportunities to communicate in Turkic language, said the web-resource administration on Thursday. The idea of creating the social network Turkiler was prompted by the address of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who repeatedly stressed the need of cultural consolidation of the Turks, according to the press release. We hope that our project will find support with the residents of CIS neighboring countries, and turn Turkiler into a social network like a Facebook, VKontakte, Moi Mir, Classmates, said Asenova. The official opening of the social network is set for April.
