Turkmenistan: A teacher (converted from the Islam) met at school police officers, who put her under pressure to give up her faith in Jesus Christ. A few days later, her boss questioned and forced her to choose between her faith and her job. She stayed by her decision to follow Christ. Therefore he forced her to resign from her job. It is difficult for her, because she has to take care of her two daughters. She is depressed and since her resignation, she shuns other believers: ‘I still believe, but at this moment I want no contact with Christians.’ She translated Christian materials to the Turkmen language. But she does not longer want to do this. Thank God that she has not given up her faith. Pray that she will persevere in faith and put her worries in God’s hands. Pray for God’s protection for Christians who come together. Regularly there are police raid inside church services and they interrogate believers and confiscate Bibles and books. Pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the Christians who sometimes do not know who they can trust. Pray that they will grow in faith and bring the love of Christ into practice in their daily lives.
