Turning wild berries into pie and cobbler, listening to morning rain quench the thirst of newly planted vegetables and herbs, swimming with the kiddos on the first official pool day of the year, chicken fighting with my husband as we take down three teams of teen agers at once, eating beenie weenies, watching the big kids play with the little kids as Smash brothers comes out, eating fresh cobbler and vanilla ice cream as the sun sets over the lake. These are the joys of summer and I am flashed back to when I was 13 and would go swimming with my friends ( Harmony Barre Sima Baldwin Nolan Thompson Luke Peterson in the apartment pools around us.
