Turnups... Fresh from the market or in the winter time fresh from the grocery store. Fresh Turnups LOL!!! Little white potatoes. She used white but I bet you could use red. Ham is the best. She used ham. Ham bouillon salt and she used lots of pepper I think also I see basil and oregano. Well maybe just basil. Anyway the trick she said is to really season them. Peel turnups and cut in quarters. Cut up ham Put in the ham bouillon with all the seasoning. Looks like she boiled the potatoes first and just wiped off the skins...there were no skins. I bet she used the juice from the potatoes too. So bring the potatoes to a boil first and then drain the juice in a bigger pot and kinda finger the peels off the potatoes. I am sure they will come right off. I hope. LOL!!! That way you will not have to bother peeling and wasting the little thing. They are small anyway so this would be the smartest and best for not wasting the little white potatoes. I could go on but need to finish the recipe. So we all know what to do with little white potatoes and the juice. DO NOT THROW THE JUICE OUT...Second thought here... maybe put all the ingredients in the pot and boil everything together and then take the skins off the potatoes. Not sure, Well keep the skins on... not sure if they were on or off. LOL!!! I have dug a huge hole here. LOL!!! Do what you want with the potatoes. It is tradition to not peel little white or red potatoes. I could not tell if the skin was on or off. The eyes were gone. LOL!!! GET IT!!! THE EYES WERE GONE... LOL!!! LOTF!!! LOL!!! The eyes were not on the little potatoes... LOL!!! Not sure how long to boil them... I guess bring to a boil and then turn them down to med. The turnups will be soft when done. Taste the broth... do not double dip. That is gross. I was listening to the radio and in the morning they have these funny questions for people to call in with the answers. And one morning the question was "What has most people done in the kitchen?" or something like that... well the answer was most people have drank right out of the milk or juice carton without getting a glass. LOL!!! mmm.... back to the recipe. I guess that is it... Make sure the ham is cut up. She had cut up ham in there. Was really good. And low calorie. The turn ups actually tasted like potatoes. XO P.S. She said if too strong put just a little bit of sugar in there too. I could taste the sweetness. So I would say just go ahead and add a little bit of sugar while cooking...
