Twas the night before leaving cert results... If you are one of the expectant 55,000 then you are probably sick of people telling you that it isnt the be-all of everything and that it is only an exam. You, on the other hand, have spent all these months revising log tables n shite and are of the opinion that you entire future on this planet depends on what comes out in the morning. If I dont do well then I wont be able to go the same college as my best mate....I wont get that degree I need to become an astronaut (or whatever your chosen profession is)...I wont meet the person I am going to spend the rest of my life with.... and I will die childless and alone. All because of what will go up on the wall in school in the morning. Id love to be able to tell you it will all be fine but I still have flashbacks to the night before my results. It is one of those nights before you never forget. Night before your wedding, night before you check in for baby delivery, night before you finally get to meet Kate from Lost. No matter how many people tell you it isnt important, you are still going to stress. It is perfectly natural. It is important and it will affect your life in some way. All that being said, I did fairly well but still ended up with my last choice CAO. Met the wife and some of my best mates at the last choice college and wouldnt change a thing. So the only advice this old Jedi would give is to not freak out when you get the result. Relax a minute and consider your options. And go see the Inbetweeners or something. Good luck tomorrow.
