Twenty years ago - on the second Sunday of June, 1993 - Phoenix Suns guard Kevin Johnson set an NBA Finals record that will likely never be broken.. playing 62 minutes and 40 seconds in the Suns’ 129-121 triple-overtime victory over the Chicago Bulls in Game 3 of the 1993 NBA Finals. Teammate Charles Barkley called it the greatest game he’s ever played in. Johnson would’ve played all 63 minutes, but coach Paul Westphal pulled him with victory assured- and 20 seconds remaining in the third overtime.
