Two college visits with my nephews today: Elon University and High Point University. They were both SO impressive! Parents, please listen up: as someone whose been in higher education for almost 25 years, I can tell you - DO NOT get on the oh-my-God-my-kid-has-to go-to-the-Ivies Panic Wagon. And for heavens sake, dont put your kids on it, either. There are, literally, hundreds of wonderful colleges and universities, many of which youve never even heard of. You would be amazed at the diversity and quality thats out there. I was so inspired today. It might not be perfect, but we have an AMAZING higher education system in the U.S. I am delighted to be a part of it.
