The youngster, who ran onto the pitch at the Sun Life Stadium to share a moment with his idol, ended up spending two days in jail for his actions, though he has now been released and spoken to the press about the incident. Ronaldo had just scored Real Madrid’s third and his own second when he saw a spectator, wearing a replica of his strip, break past the security guards and run onto the pitch. The youngster sprinted then slid on his knees up to CR7 before getting up and hugging the Real Madrid star. Ronaldo listened to what the fan had to say, before escorting him to the security guards, who took him away to the clink. Ronnie said it was “a once in a lifetime opportunity” to meet his hero. While they hugged Cristiano Ronaldo said to his young fan that he “would look after him” and promised him his shirt after the game. The fans gave the youngster a standing ovation as he was led away.
