Two full days at Augusta- amazing experience. First thing that struck me was the scale of the place- it is, at first glance, massive. Undulating is an understatement- some of the drops- 2,4 and 6 are much greater than I expected. The greens are much smaller and the slope structures more complex. 7 is tiny, 18 is much smaller too. Amen Corner is very beautiful- the second shot on 13 so much more above feet than TV shows. It is a testament to the skill of these guys that they can cope with the demands of the design. The food is incredibly cheap and very good. All the male patrons seem to be drinking beer and smoking enormous cigars. The practice facility is amazing and used twice a year. You are not allowed phones or cameras- they will find you, take your badge and eject you. An endearing quality of people from The South is that they randomly chat to strangers- very friendly. Augusta-Atlanta-New York-Dubai!!
