Two fun things about Albuquerque are the landmark Marriott Pyramid hotel on the citys north side (next to my office building, actually) and the local tradition of luminaria (candles in paper bags weighted with sand) lining drives and walkways at Christmastime. The luminaria tradition has been extended to electrically illuminated plastic facsimile luminaria lined up around the rooftops of commercial buildings.
