Two of my friends posted this video. I dont want to offend anyone with my comments, so I posted this on my own wall. So...the general feeling from almost everyone is that bullying is unacceptable, and I agree. However, why didnt the kid fight back? I will quote Back to the Future. Dont you know that if you let people walk over you now theyll be walking over you for the rest of your life? The moral being that there is nothing wrong with defending yourself. Telling a child that fighting is wrong and that theyll get in trouble if they get into a fight does them a disservice. We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to fighting. Do you know how many times I heard that from teachers growing up? My response is the same as its always been. I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to getting punched in the face. Self defense classes should be mandatory from like the 6th grade upwards. Instead of P.E. how about we teach kids to defend themselves from punks like the ones in this video? Just a thought :)
