Two of the Queensland Ambulance Service’s finest were honoured this afternoon at Government House by Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC, Governor of Queensland. Mr Lachlan Parker, an Intensive Care Paramedic received the prestigious Ambulance Service Medal (ASM) for outstanding dedication to the QAS, in particular for development of the QAS Field Reference Guide. Mr Keith Smith was also honoured with the ASM for outstanding dedication to the QAS in particular to his patients and as a professional representative of the QAS. Keith is an officer with over 50 years service around the Sunshine Coast area and has worked in a variety of roles including Officer-in-Charge and Ambulance Officer. QAS is very proud of these boys!!
