Two years. So amazingly hard to believe that this much time has gone by. That day is burned so vividly in my memory....a nightmare that just wont stop. I still remember where I was when Ben called, that she fell ice skating,racing to get to Portland and realizing I had no idea where I was even going, the look on both of my sister in laws face when I burst into the waiting room. I remember the way the surgeon looked at me when I begged him to do more, the way I pleaded for her to wake up as I laid there for hours making deals with anyone who could help....just five more minutes and shed snap out of it. And then it hit me...the horrible truth. She was gone, so young and so full of life. I had lost my one constant, the person Id loved for all of my life. It happened so quickly and without any warning at all. Life will never be the same for me......
