Two years ago this afternoon....I wrote this for Bandit...he is never far from my thoughts. Big goofy red head that he was - not the perfect Doberman according to the standard of the breed but he was perfect to me. Today would also have been my Moms Birthday - I am sure hes up there keeping her company :) RIP Bandit - July 1, 2004 - November 14th, 2012 Ive had several special dogs throughout my life... but on Nov. 14th I lost my very best friend and the kindest soul Ive ever met. Out on a hike on a glorious afternoon, Bandit passed of a heart attack in my arms. He had been ill for several months and Im just thankful that I had all this time to spend with him. But also thankful that in his final moments, we were together. I miss him terribly and when my time comes, I am comforted in knowing that he will be there waiting for me.
