Typical idiot reporter: Dwight Howards drivers license has been suspended after the former Orlando Magic star was caught on camera running red lights in Orange County. Really? The photos and video show it was him even though they do not do so for all of the other tickets here? Then this: According to an official with Floridas Ninth Judicial Circuit, Howard has nine outstanding red light infractions stemming from 2012 — the year he was traded from the Magic to the Los Angeles Lakers — plus the 10th infraction from July of this year. Howard owes a total of $285 in unpaid traffic fines, according to the Orange County Clerk of Courts. First there is the math: How do you owe $285 for 10 unpaid $158 camera scheme tickets? Sounds like it should be north of $1,580 once fees are added in. Then there is research, something a journalist does and a reporter does not do: I visited the Orange County FL Clerk of Court site and learned Howard has two open tickets, a 2006 fail to pay toll and the July 2014 RLC ticket mentioned in the fairy tale disguised as a story. Finally: He was traded to a California team in 2012, and to a Texas team in 2013. From what Ive read, he lives in Texas. Id say the chances of the July 2014 ticket being him are low, whereas the chances of it being a cloned tag are higher. A job transfer sends you to another state, you register your car there, and someone clones your Florida tag here and runs red lights. You are never aware of the tickets since youre in another state and never receive them. Yet your license is suspended for SOMETHING YOU DID NOT DO.
