Congressman Steve Stockman, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, demanded an investigation into the cases of corruption and fraud involving state funds by Ukrainian officials The document was submitted to the Congressional Research Service. The main accusations concerned the National Bank of Ukraine that inefficiently uses the US funding. According to Stockman, the United States has imposed restrictive measures against 18 former Ukrainian ministers and officials. Mr. Stockman said politicians used Ukrainian banks and investment companies owned by senior Ukrainian officials to transfer funds from Washington to offshore accounts.
