U.S. Embassy call for proposals: 2014 Ambassadors Fund for Preservation The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the 2014 U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP). Created by the U.S. Congress in 2001, the AFCP aims to assist emerging economies in preserving museum collections, ancient and historic sites, and traditional forms of cultural expression such a...s dance, music, poetry and oral history. The AFCP permits U.S. Ambassadors in less-developed countries to submit proposals for one-time or recurring projects. In Jamaica, the fund is administered by the U.S. Embassy, Kingston. In 2014, grants will range from U.S. $10,000 to U.S. $159,300, averaging U.S. $41,400.
