U18 Premier League : match report. Our Under-18s recovered from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to Everton on Saturday. Harry Winks and Cameron Carter-Vickers were on the scoresheet as we claimed a share of the spoils in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League. Josh Onomah and Will Miller went close for us in the opening stages, but as the first half progressed it was the visitors who really seized the initiative. They went ahead on 26 minutes despite the efforts of goalkeeper Harry Voss, who made a good reaction save – only to see the ball tucked in from the rebound. Seven minutes later the Toffees increased their lead from the penalty spot after Emmanuel Sonupe was adjudged to have pulled an opponent’s shirt in the area. We got the chance to reduce the arrears a minute before half-time when the lively Nathan Oduwa worked his way into the box and was brought down. Winks tucked away the resulting penalty to send us in at the break with a smaller deficit to peg back. We enjoyed large amounts of possession in the second half and our pressure finally told when a third penalty of the match was awarded on 73 minutes, this time for handball. Substitute Filip Lesniak stepped up and shot to the goalkeeper’s left – his effort was saved but Carter-Vickers was quickest to react and he netted from the rebound. We chased a winner but, despite near misses from Shayon Harrison and Oduwa, we were unable to complete a full turnaround and the points were shared. Spurs: Voss, Walker-Peters, Amos (Lesniak 58), Walkes, Carter-Vickers, Maghoma, Sonupe (Harrison 61), Winks, Miller (Goddard 70), Onomah, Oduwa Current U18 table positions. Everton are currently 2nd in the North Group. #COYS - Janhavi
