UC Police report robbery/abduction on Grizzly Peak Alert Number: 14-112714-85 UCPD Case Number: 14-03788 ARMED ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING DIRT TURN-OUT ALONG GRIZZLY PEAK BOULEVARD On Thursday, November 27th, 2014, at 2:00 a.m., an armed robbery and kidnapping occurred at a dirt turn-out along Grizzly Peak Boulevard. The two victims, a 26-year-old female and a 23-year-old male whom are both not affiliated with UCB, were sitting in their vehicle and looking out toward the bay. Three suspects, two armed with handguns and one with a baseball bat, approached them and demanded money. The victims did not have money so one suspect entered their vehicle and demanded that they drive to an ATM while the other suspects followed them in the suspect’s car. At the ATM, the victims provided the suspects with money and the suspects left the area. The victims were not injured during the encounter. UCPD continues to investigate as new information becomes available. The three arrested suspects were described as: Suspect #1: White, male, approximately 5’-5”, slim build, and armed with a firearm or baseball bat. Suspect #2: White, male, approximately 6’-3”, medium build, and armed with a firearm or baseball bat. Suspect #1: White, male, approximately 5’-5”, slim build, wearing a black beanie-style cap, a red hooded sweatshirt, and armed with a firearm or baseball bat. The suspect’s vehicle was described as: a red, 4-door, “square-type” vehicle.
