UCBR OFFERS CODE OF ETHICS TRAINING As part of a comprehensive continuing education program, the Ulster County Board of REALTORS® is offering training on “Code of Ethics – Our Promise of Professionalism” on November 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more than 100 years, REALTORS® have been leading advocates for homeowners and homebuyers, subscribing to a strict code of ethics. Protecting the interests of consumers demands high standards of professional conduct and training, and the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics is the golden thread that binds the REALTOR® community together. Buying a home is often one of the largest and most important decisions in a consumers life, and having a REALTOR® on their side can help home buyers and sellers stay focused on the emotional and financial issues that are most important. Through the Code of Ethics, REALTORS® are providing consumers with a promise to protect and promote their best interests throughout the entire home buying, selling or investing process. All REALTORS® must take comprehensive training on the Code of Ethics, which protects sellers, buyers, landlords, tenants and others who place their trust in REALTORS®. Not all real estate agents are REALTORS®. Only REALTORS® subscribe to a code of ethics and have access to unique educational, business and market information.
