UCHE IRENUMA VS THE WHOLE OF ABAVO UPDATE........................... The three consecutive days court proceeding that kicked off yesterday to hear arguments and set the case up for ruling was adjourned till April 18, 2014 in order to give Uche Irenuma and his lawyers some time to address some of his numerous end-time issues as neither he nor any of his witnesses showed up at court yesterday, as we reliably gathered that he is waging a battle of life and death at the Ogwashi-Uku prison for his release on bail because of the unbearable symptoms of withdrawal syndrome from cocaine that he is experiencing and the fact that he has run out of cash. He was said to have gone borrowing as usual and typical of hard drug addicts and gamblers, for little change as small as N200.00. The court, through the presiding Judge, fined Mr. Uche Irenuma the sum of N20,000.00 (twenty thousand Naira) for his refusal to demonstrate preparedness to proceed with his defense which we believe is a stalling that can only be tolerated for long enough. Justice is knocking harder and harder and the little child who poo-pooed at night continues to wish that there will not be daybreak forgetting that he does not have the control of what makes day and night possible. We salute the Abavo people and friends of Abavo who went to the court in the physical and spiritual for their steadfastness and belief in the struggle and quest for justice, Our sacrifices will NOT be in vain.
