This took a fair amount of courage to do so, as a man in this culture he is going against every norm that has been established. It will take men like him to continue to support these woman in this journey towards change. Nasreen is now the first woman in her village to ever refuse a marriage, and can represent this life decision with pride and strength to the existing women of her collective and every new face that comes to her for support.
