UGH the minimum wage crap... Prices will go up. Yeah... The prices should go straight up the CEOs ASS!! A responsible CEO will grasp this without coercion. THIS should be the default minimum wage formula. You figure out, in various markets where the cost of living would always follow suit, what it costs to have a house, car, money for whatever types of insurance one will need, and then basic living. Food, clothes, and God forbid... Entertainment. When this amount has been determined, it should be the fixed minimum wage for every full time worker. Prices going up can only come out of the higher brackets at that point, because by default, as soon as the cost of living goes up, the minimum wage would follow. No voting on it, no arguing about it. NO ONE should work 40 hours a week at any job and not have a comfortable life. Stepping stone jobs do not exist anymore. Some people can ONLY find minimum wage and there is no hope to go further if they dont have the skills or abilities. Not everyone is capable of improving on their skills and abilities... If you want people off of welfare, then you have to be willing to pay for their work!!! This isnt the same market gram & gramps built their business on. Only a select few will ever have those options again! Big business has ruined that. If you disagree you may as well say you care nothing for human beings and be done with it.
