UNGODLY COVENANT Text: philipians 3:1-4 Many People enter into all kinf of covenant today just to secure their lives. Thr kinds of weird things people do, these days, show that men and women are battling with insecurity. God is a giver of life. He is the great protector who alone can secure lives. Any security outside Christ is false. Our text today draws a clear line of demarcation between godly and ungodly convent. If you really want to experience and enjoy the kind of security that endures you must follow the Bible. Your counterpart in the world may do all kind of things in other to secure themselves. But you cannot decide to adopt their own kind of method. Let me share a story of a man who decided to swallow a charm in order to become rich with you. A man swallowed some sharms, so that he can become rich. But he was told that after seven years, the devil will come to claim his soul, that was not problen, just let me be rich He swallowed those things, and became very rich. But what he swallowed began to eat him up inside. Just a little at a time. Now, when it was almost time for him to die, he was afraid of death; he did not want to die, so he came to a man of God. The man of God prayed for him, and told him; surrender your life to Jesus, whatever you have swallowed, it will come out. You must surrender your life to Jesus He said; that is nonsense. If I surrender my life to Jesus, how will go abroad, there are great surgeon there, they will open my stomach,and they would remove those things, and then I will come back and enjoy the more. In any case, the agreement I made with the devil, is in Nigeria here, I may go and be living abroad, then the devil will not be able to reach me there. Well, maybe devil cannot reach him there; what about God? So he boarded an airplane, going abroad for that great operation, that will set him free. But God met him in the plane, and he died there. And now I am sure he is in hell fire. What is in this life? It is nothing but a shadow. If you decide to barter your hope in Christ for the fleeting things this world, you may discover, at the end that you have gone into a trade that is profitless in every sense Prayer Points: Pray that God break every ungodly covenants that band me away from your success in life in Jesus name
