UPDATE - Barricaded Subject Apprehended by Deputies Update On 07-14-14 the suspect, Andrew Raymond Vaughn-Elliott, contacted his mother, Cheryl Elliott, to pick him up from an unknown location. When she refused, he became irate and had a friend drive him and his girlfriend, Brittani Diggett, to his mother’s residence on Mondon Hill Road. Once at the residence, a verbal altercation transpired. The verbal altercation quickly escalated when Vaughn-Elliott thought that his mother went into or attempted to gain entry into his locked bedroom. Vaughn-Elliott became very violent at that time. Cheryl Elliott went to Bayfront Health, Brooksville for treatment of her injuries. ER staff alerted authorities. Andrew Raymond Vaughn-Elliott W/M DOB/09-24-1986 was charged as follows: - Aggravated Assault LEO (2 counts) - Resist Officer with Violence - Offense Against Police/Fire Dogs/SAR Dogs - Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon - Attempted Murder - Domestic Battery – Second Subsequent Offense - Tampering w/a Victim/Witness (2 counts) - Total Bond for all charges - $150,500 - Violation of Probation – No Bond Cheryl Elliott continues to recover from her injuries.
