#UPDATE: A suspicious fire has gutted a small building at Shirley Intermediate tonight. The stand-alone building, which was a multi-cultural facility, was well ablaze by the time fire-fighters arrived just before nine o’clock. A fire communications spokesman says three appliances were required to bring the fire under control. A police officer at the scene has told an eyewitness an arson attack is the likely cause.
