UPDATE ON JUDY NIEMEYER We have been praying for healing – and have been reminded that everything God does in our lives is a healing. We have been praying for changes in our time and have been reminded of changes he makes in all eternity. We have been praying for a miracle and are reminded that we are a miracle. We have been praying for a restoration – and have been reminded that God created us all for continuous restoration. 1. The week will very much center on Judy’s sixth chemo treatment on Wednesday. Before that, Tuesday will see her in Nairobi Hospital for blood tests and for Larry’s purchase of Wednesday’s meds. Thereafter, it will be recovery time for the rest of the week. Thank you for praying. 2. We should learn more from the oncologist on Wednesday: whether two more chemo treatments are called for, whether we should be planning a trip to India for additional PT-scan tests, possible surgery, and even radiation treatment. Please pray for Dr. Gladwell Kiarie as she makes decisions and suggestions for further treatment for Judy. 3. The good news is that we look forward to sharing our third encouragement card for cancer patients waiting at the center on Wednesday. Our card begins “The Lord is the God of hope. He created us with his amazing hope for us. His Word records that patient, loving hope.” It ends, “May God’s hope for us be reflected by our hopes in Him.” Pray that those who receive these cards will be receptive and open to God’s hope—and encouraged in their painful journeys.
