UPDATE ON THE 23K SENT TO WRONG NUMBER: This afternoon, the victim sent me this message: “Hi, the guy has been calling me but I did not pick.I picked his phone this morning and promises to pay back all the money.I was on my way to CIU in Langata but decided not to because he has promised to pay.He is in a panicky mode and is frightened by the many messages he has gotten. Whats the best way forward?” I advised her to go straight to the CID and report. I told her not to take the guy’s word but follow the law and report even as the guy decides whether to pay back or not. After a while, she sent me this message: “I went to Langata police station .The CID..Mutisya was very good to me. He called him and he promised that he will pay everything by Friday.” Ok we wait and see. But my promise is that am not leaving this case until all the job is done, especially now that the guy has heard from the CID themselves.
