UPDATE ON TREES......... ....A few says ago I posted some photos of trees from scratch using sticks, wire and floral arrangement artificial moss. I made this tree using 22g stranded wire for the branches. I cut them to size, striped the insulation and soldered the base. I then separated the strands into smaller branches. ....Then I looped the soldered ends around the trunk and hot glued into place. I used Elmers glue and spray adhesive to fill in the moss. I continued attaching the moss from the bottom to the top and filled remaining gaps to make the complete tree and spray painted for color......................See the attached photos of each stage. ....I previously thought that one package of moss would make 8 trees. I now believe that 6 trees will be a more conservative number......... But for 3.99 plus the other supplies.............. It remains a very inexpensive way to load up your layout with trees.
