UPDATE on 16 July 2014 event at The Odyssey Bookshop/Mt. Holyoke College. PLEASE READ if you are attending this event: Due to the size of the expected audience, this event has been moved to Hooker Auditorium in Clapp Hall at Mt. Holyoke College. (yes, we had lots of jokes about that when I was an undergrad...) I havent been in Hooker since I took Introduction to Geology, so this will be a memorable experience! Because of the venue change, this event is now TICKETED. You will need to purchase a $5 ticket to attend the event. Any proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Mt. Holyoke Club of the Five College Valley, which supports various educational initiatives for young women. To get books signed (even your old copies of ADOW and SON), you will need to purchase a copy of THE BOOK OF LIFE from the Odyssey. There are a few reserved seats left. Same cost--$5--but Id get on it now if you want one. After that its general admission, and the doors will open at 6:30 for the 7:00 event. Please note: if you already pre-ordered a book from The Odyssey, you will have heard from them by now to purchase a ticket for reserved seating. They contacted every one of you. Of course, they cant control your answering machine and its malfunctioning. If you are in any doubt as to your ticketed status, please contact the bookstore. If you want to reserve a book and a ticket now, you should also call the bookstore. Hooker has lots of seats (as I recall), and there are still tickets left. And just so you know: I will stay until I sign all the books. That can mean a late night for you and for me, but I will not leave without meeting you and taking care of your books so do not worry! Thanks to my friends at Mount Holyoke College and The Odyssey for seeing to all these arrangements to try to make as many of you happy as we can!
