UPFA – A Brighter Future is a facebook community page managed by a group of people who sincerely volunteered to support President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the 2010 Presidential Election and General Election. Supporting President Mahinda Rajapaksa, our only intention was to see truly a brighter future for Sri Lanka, a country with good governance and without corruption. We believe we have no hope in seeing such a Sri Lanka with President Rajapaksa’s ruling. But throughout we have observed that Minister Maithripala Sirisena was honorably conducting his duty. With the emergence of Hon. Maithripala Sirisena as the Presidential Candidate it was our decision to support him as we believe we have hope for truly a brighter future for Sri Lanka with Maithripala Sirisena being elected as President of this country. On 21st of November, we only had around 40000 fans supporting this page. Since we started support Hon. Maithripala Sirisena during last 20 days we have had almost 60000 news fans supporting this page indicating that majority of UPFA approves our decision to pledge our support to Presidential Candidate Maithripala Sirisena. For last 5 years Rajapaksa regime showed no interest what so ever towards this page but suddenly they are now trying to make false claim to this community page saying it is an official page of the UPFA party. As such we feel intimidated but we promise to our fans we will be sincere to you. Page Admins
