UPND Raise Concern over Sata’s Muted Images The opposition United Party for National Development has raised concern over the muted images of President Michael Sata that have been shown on national television in the recent past. UPND Vice President in charge of administration Richard Kapita said that it was wrong to deny citizens true information about the real state of health of their number one citizen. President Sata has made appearances swearing officials and receiving credentials with only a picture and a reporter’s voice over during the act. “They want to be playing games with us on tv showing someone pointing, reading his credentials and then they speak and then the president doesn’t speak so that Zambians say that the President is there,” Kapita said. “I think it is not correct Zambians are not foolish, we know that corruption is rife in the PF and that there is leadership and that there is no one to check on what they are doing.” President Sata has not been seen in public independently since May 25 and his absence has been a subject of speculation with his firing of Wynter Kabimba the loudest message he has sent since he went into hibernation. zambiareports/2014/09/05/upnd-raise-concern-satas-muted-images/
