***URGENT LOVELY HOLLY GIRL IS IN NEED OF A LOVING NEW HOME TONIGHT AND A TRIP TO A PROPER VET URGENT*** 1 year old Holly is in for the fight of her life! Found as a stray, she apparently nipped someone along the way. She clearly has not been well taken care of, with skin problems throughout her body. She’s only a year old and no doubt had to fight her way for everything she ever got. But its hard to shut off that “fight for your life” headset when you’re sitting in a cage at Brooklyn ACC surrounded by strange dogs, not knowing when your next meal is coming from, and not knowing who all those strange people are. Clearly, Holly tried her very best during her behavioral assessment and clearly, she’s a sweet dog who pulled 1’s and 2’s on most of the items. But when that hand tried to take her food, she just couldn’t handle it—who knows when the next meal is coming? And when that strange dog came in the room, Holly had to defend herself—who knows what that dog’s intentions were? ACC has no time to let young Holly acclimate to a new life and they’ve put her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. They’ve also decided she can only leave to a New Hope rescue. So tonight, this puppy needs an experienced person who has the skill and the time and the desire to show Holly a whole other life—a life where you don’t have to be afraid of other dogs attacking you, where you don’t have to fight for your food, a life where you can just be a dog! If you’re that someone, start applying to New Hope rescues to foster or adopt Holly. But do it right now—ACC won’t miss a beat tomorrow when it comes time for Holly to be gone forever.
