Emergency Relief Continues for Gaza After 51 days of Israeli terror and demoralization, the people of Gaza need your support now more than ever. Palestinians have lost entire families and hundreds of loved ones at the hands of Israeli aggression. As of this writing more than 2,150 Palestinians have been murdered and over 10,000 injured, the vast majority of them helpless civilians. Although Israels rain of bombs and missiles has stopped for now, the situation on the ground in Gaza is nevertheless chaotic. As of the beginning of September, nearly 60,000 people still lived in 36 UNRWA schools due to the complete or partial destruction of almost 16,000 homes. Israels recent violence caused the displacement of over 500,000 Palestinians, and in a cruel repetition of history, many of them will be forced to live in tents as their parents and grandparents did decades ago. Every dollar donated to this emergency appeal will be 100 percent restricted for providing desperately needed humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, so that they can rebuild and recover from Israels brutal aggression. Victims of severe burns and limb amputations comprise a large percentage of the wounded, and funds donated to this appeal will focus on providing long-term treatment and rehabilitation to these people.
